Niagara Falls

Start by choosing the side of the border where you will stay. Then plan time beside the falls, decide which close-up experience matters and leave room to enjoy the river setting.

Your starting point

One or two nights, with one clear arrival plan

Consider one or two nights if you want time beside the falls without rushing back after a long transfer. Choose the arrival airport, hotel country and main attraction together. If both sides interest you, we plan the crossing and transport so the day stays relaxed.

Suggested lengths are starting points for a conversation. Your final route depends on your dates, interests and availability.

Canadian side: use the parkway as your starting point

Niagara Parks’ trip planner connects its falls-area attractions with the wider parkway and WEGO transport. Select a small cluster around your main visit before adding a distant stop. Keep walking distances and the return to your hotel in the plan, especially for an evening outing. [1]

US side: explore the state park

Niagara Falls State Park provides viewpoints, walking areas and attractions around the falls. We use its map and walking-distance chart to choose a route suited to your group. The park says its attractions and most trails are accessible for wheelchairs and other mobility devices, with Cave of the Winds accessible to its main viewing platform, and its scenic trolley circles the park. Reserve time to enjoy the landscape rather than making every stop depend on another attraction booking. [2]

Close-up experiences: choose your priority

A boat outing, a viewpoint walk and a visitor attraction offer different ways to experience the falls. Choose one priority and we’ll time it to its operating calendar for your dates, keeping the rest of the day relaxed around it.

When to go

A year-round park with seasonal attractions

The US state park is open year-round, and individual attractions have their own operating calendars. We match the experience you want to what is running on your dates, on either side. For a cooler-season stay, we plan a shorter outdoor loop with an indoor alternative. [2] [1]

Getting around

Match the airport and local transport to your hotel

Niagara Parks lists GO and WEGO connections for Canadian-side planning; the US park identifies Buffalo-Niagara International as a nearby arrival option. We plan the full door-to-door journey, including any border crossing, and if you prefer rail or bus we match the timetable to the final connection to your accommodation. [1] [2]

A little clarity before you go

Questions before you plan

Do we have to visit both countries to enjoy Niagara?

No. Choose the side that fits the rest of your holiday and the experiences you want. If you would like to see both, we plan the crossing and go through the travel documents your passport needs with you.

Is this an easy addition to a New York City day?

We compare the journey from New York City with you, and suggest treating Niagara as its own stage when travel would otherwise take most of the day. An overnight stay gives you more time around the falls.
